a) numere naturale nenule:
1 + 2 + 3 + ... + n = n × ( n + 1) ÷ 2
b) numere naturale pare:
2 + 4 + 6 + ... + 2n = 2 × ( 1 + 2 + 3 + ... + n ) =
= 2 × n × ( n + 1 ) ÷ 2 = n × ( n + 1 )
c) numere naturale impare:
1 + 3 + 5 + ... + ( 2n - 1 ) = n × n ( adică n la puterea a doua )
exemple:
a) 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + ... + 100 = 100 × ( 100 + 1 ) ÷ 2 =
= 100 × 101 ÷ 2 = 10100 ÷ 2 = 5050
b) 2 + 4 + 6 + ... + 100 = 2 × ( 1 + 2 + 3 + ... + 50 ) =
= 2 × 50 × 51 ÷ 2 = 50 × 51 = 2550
c) 1 + 3 + 5 + ... + 101 = ( 101 + 1 ) × 51 ÷ 2 = 102 × 51 ÷ 2
= 51 × 51 = 2601
