Yes, I think that giving money to charity is important , by doing that, you can help a lot of people that have problems in their lives.
In my opinion, every type of fund-raising events are successful because they improve other people's life in many ways. For example there are fund-raising events that help people with diseases and other ones that help poor people by donating them clothes, money, etc.
