1. The Wieliczka Salt Mine is near Cracow, in southern of Poland.
2. When Kinga`s servants dug a well at Wieliczka, instead of water, salt was discovered and in the first lump of salt the owned ring of Kinga was found.
3. Salt has been mined from the rock bellow the town of Wieliczka.
4. The constant danger affected the miners by making them deeply religious, even having churches underground, right before the first church was burned down in 1697.
5. The miners started to carve sculptures from the rock salt because they could not use wooden, as the incident with the destroyed church happened, it was an imminent risk.
6. The Chapel of the Blessed Kinga is currently in a chamber 100 metres underground.
7. Pretty green lakes and chapels with beautiful carvings are able to be visited and shown to the wondered people.
