Hi there!
Even if on Easter we don`t get as many presents as we do on Christmas, I still love it, especially that it is in April or in May,everything comes back to life and nature seems to celebrate it, too. On Easter we are on holiday and I go in the country , to my grandparents`. There are a lot of traditions and the most commonly known is painting eggs , red is the traditional color (it symbolizes Jesus' blood), but in modern days Easter eggs go in many other colours. My mother boils the eggs and then places them in special egg paint but my grandmother dyes them with complicated motifs,I am amazed, they look like pure art to me, it's hard work and not everybody can do this. My grandma cooks for Easter anything based on lamb meat. She also bakes a cake with cheese, called "pasca” and of course sweet bread. The Resurrection itself is celebrated on the night before Easter Day ,that night we go to church to light the candle and bring the resurrection light into our homes. On our way back home, we would share the holy candle fire with other people we meet on our way. The belief is that each church gets light from God, with the main source being the holy fire in Jerusalem.I love Easter and I can`t wait to see my grandparents and my friends again.
On the Easter holiday I was with my family in Suceava. We stayed at a 3 star hotel and then visited some monasteries. On the penultimate day I slept with some relatives I have not seen for a long time and the next day I went home. I had a lot of fun!
