I was seven when I first saw a man missing a hand. I was at the local hospital with my mom because i had a fever. It trully caught my attention. I felt very rude for looking, but i could not, not look. It was as if i saw a unicorn in a city! It's enough to make you look even if it is in a forest, because unicorns do not exist! But in a city too?
I went to the man, and asked him if he feels alright. He smiled at me and said "Aw kid, i was born without an arm! I don't feel anything!" while looking at his missing arm. I started communicating with him and asked him about his life. "Is it easy without an arm?" ofcourse i just asked that in my brain, as i did not want to make the man sadder than he already looked... Maybe i could activate a bad memory. Back then, amputees were common, but very rare in my village. After i got treated, i looked at the man one last time and said goodbye. I closed the door behind me and that is how it all ended.
