"We never really learn from our mistakes"?
That's some serious heresy right there. Mistakes are obviously disadvantageous if we do not learn from them, which is why we do learn from our mistakes. Learning from them is pretty much the only advantage in doing mistakes. I'm not saying we should keep mistaking, but that is not for us to decide. It's in our human nature to do so. There is no man who hasn't made any mistakes. That's why we learn from them and avoid doing them again in the future.
There goes that saying "The fool learns from his mistakes. The wise learns from History." So let us be the wise, learning from other people's mistakes, not our own, if possible. Every aspect of life is learning from failure. It's only when we learn to not fear failure that we become better and stronger people. Learn from your mistakes and failures but don't let them control you. You can't change what's already happened so it's better to learn from your failures and move on, than dwell on them.
