Batman was created by Bob Kane ( artist ) and Bill Finger ( writer ). His real name is Bruce Wayne, he is a wealthy american philanthropist who lives in the fictional Gotham City. Bruce's parents were Dr Thomas Wayne and Martha Wayne and, after they were murdered, Bruce swore vengeance against criminals. Batman is a skilled martial artist and hand to hand combatant who trains himself physically and intellectually.
