July 1st: We're still at the airport. When we arrived, the pilots were just beginning to strike. But we're lucky and in about an hour our plane for Australia is ready for take-off.
July 3rd: We got to our hostel in Darwin early this morning and met our tour guide, Tony, who was waiting for us. Tomorrow we are going to see Aboriginal rock paintings in Kakadu National Park. It's 10 pm now and we need some sleep.
July 4th: It was amazing to see the ancient rock paintings. You can still find traditional Aboriginal art all over Oz. While I was enjoying the art, Sophie was chatting with the tour guide ;-))
July 6th: Yesterday we spent a lazy day. Tonight we are going to visit Mindil Beach Sunset Market. The market starts at 5 pm every Thursday. It's famous for live music.
July 7th: When we were having breakfast and making plans for the day, Tony arrived and invited us to Crocosaurus Cove. There we swam with crocodiles - well, we were in a cage and the crocodiles were swimming all around us. It was an awesome experience - the highlight of an amazing first week in Oz.
