A Road Trip to Remember
As a child, my family and I travelled to Niagara
Falls on holiday to see the huge waterfalls. It is
one of my favourite memories and I always
dreamed of taking a road trip across Canada to
see more of this beautiful country. Last year, I
finally made this dream come true! My best friend
Kate and I took a month off work, packed our
bags and set off for the adventure of a lifetime.
We flew from London to Halifax, Nova Scotia, on
the east coast of Canada, and rented a small car to
take us on our journey. I wanted to see all the
famous sights along the way, but Kate wanted to
visit small towns and meet the locals to see what
ordinary life is like in Canada. That's why we

glass floor, but I thought it was exciting!
Next, we travelled across the prairie provinces of
Canada Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta. It
took us almost a week to cross because the
provinces are so big! The prairies are very flat and
most of the land is covered in fields of farmers!
crops. Some people find it a little boring, but Kate
and I just kept saying "Wow!" at the size of the
farmers' fields and how far we could see into the
distance.
Our last week of the journey took us through the
Rocky Mountains. It was my favourite part of the
trip the Rockies are so beautiful! In fact, I'm
planning to come back for a skiing holiday next
year! Finally, we drove across British Columbia to
Vancouver, where we dropped off our rental car
and flew back to London. I felt like a completely
new person!
